With three ski resorts to choose from (Blue Mountain, Big Boulder and Jack Frost) winter visitors can find abundant skiing, snowboarding, snowtubing and snowmobiling. The Beltzville State Park and Lehigh Gorge State Park provide prime fall foliage viewing while during spring and summer, visitors enjoy whitewater rafting, hiking, picnicking, sailing, swimming, fishing and mountain biking.

May 21-May 12: Jim Thorpe Birthday Celebration (Jim Thorpe)
This event honors Jim Thorpe, a Native American, one of the greatest athletes of the 20th century, and our town's namesake. The celebration starts with a Native American tribute at the Jim Thorpe Mausoleum. Weekend includes free musical performances, Native American folklore, dancing and drumming, craft and food vendors, and much more.
Jun 4-Jun 5: Wine Me Up (Blue Mountain)
Join Blue Mountain in their second annual Wine Me Up! Wine and Tapas Festival. The event features samplings from PA wineries, food sampling, live music, and more. Noon-5pm
Jun 25: Savage Race (Jim Thorpe)
At Skirmish Paintball. Intense 5-7 mile obstacle run with 25 world class obstacles, mud, fire, and barbed wire. Completion requires teamwork, courage, and the will to push your limits farther than you ever have before. Run individually or create a team!
